Following the Light ----ReneSola Debuts at Pakistan International Solar Photovoltaic Exhibition (ISEM)!

From May 23 to May 25, 2025 (local time), the 2025 Pakistan International Solar Energy Exhibition (ISEM) was grandly held at the Lahore Expo Center. ReneSola showcased its high-efficiency solar modules at Booth 133-136 in Hall 3, contributing to the energy transition in the Middle East with high-quality photovoltaic products.

As a country rich in solar resources, Pakistan has enormous potential for photovoltaic market development. However, the country’s hot, dry, and dusty climate, coupled with an unstable power supply, presents unique challenges for solar applications—particularly in rural and remote areas, as well as for small businesses that must consider cost-effectiveness.

ReneSola made a strong appearance with its high-efficiency modules and customized energy solutions designed specifically for Pakistan’s high-temperature, dusty environment and the power needs of commercial and industrial users, attracting numerous local buyers and clients to engage in discussions.

Flagship Products on Display
At the exhibition, ReneSola’s 210N and 210R high-power modules became the highlight. With high conversion efficiency and outstanding power generation performance, these modules drew significant attention from potential partners. Each module features 132 large-size cells, with a maximum power output of up to 720W and a conversion efficiency of up to 23.18%. They are engineered to resist dust accumulation, reduce O&M costs, and meet the demand for high performance, heat resistance, sand and corrosion resistance, and low maintenance—ideal for large-scale power plants and commercial/industrial applications in dusty regions. These features align well with the country’s unstable electricity supply and rapidly growing demand for distributed energy solutions.

Favorable Policies and Natural Conditions Drive a Promising Solar Market
Pakistan is one of the world’s most solar-rich countries, with an average annual solar radiation of 5–7 kWh/m². However, the nation has long struggled with electricity shortages, with frequent outages during peak load periods and nearly 20% of the population lacking reliable access to electricity. To address this, the Pakistani government has prioritized renewable energy as a national strategic focus. According to climate think tank Ember, Pakistan imported 17 GW of solar modules in 2024—more than double the previous year—making it the third-largest solar module importer globally. From 2020 to 2024, Pakistan’s cumulative solar module imports reached approximately 27 GW, ranking it as the third-largest export destination for Chinese solar products. A recent report by S&P Global ranked Pakistan as the world’s eighth-largest solar market in 2024.

Deepening Local Cooperation to Build a Green Future Together
With Pakistan’s growing electricity demand, solar energy—an efficient and sustainable solution—is gaining increasing market favor. As the Belt and Road Initiative continues to deepen, ReneSola is advancing its localization strategy in Pakistan by establishing local technical and O&M teams and providing full-scenario solutions. The company is also partnering with local stakeholders to build a green energy ecosystem, leveraging “Chinese wisdom” to support Pakistan in its transition toward a diversified energy structure.
